Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Case Logic CDW264 Nylon 280-Disc CD/DVD Wallet

Customer Review: Probably the best option for storing a large number of cds
Summary: 4 Stars

When I was attempting to transport my 300+ cd collection 1000 miles to school, I went looking for the largest case available, and this was it.

Overall, it's a good case. The cds have been well protected. They don't scratch and the pages are tight enough that they don't slip out if stored upside down. The handle is really strong, and I've had no ripping even carrying the case entirely filled.

The one problem I have come across is with the zipper. I put a lot of heavy wear on this case recently, so for normal use it will probably be okay. But the zipper on my case has recently started to seperate from material, making it really difficult to zip up. For storage around my room, it is still wonderful, but it does make it a lot more difficult to travel with.

Customer Review: My favorite CD/DVD Case
Summary: 5 Stars

I've gone through a few cases to hold discs but stopped searching when I bought the 128 capacity one about 8 mo. ago. Now I can hold all my DVD's (who uses CD's anymore)... This is the best option you can go for and its relatively cheap on amazon.com.
Pro: Sturdy steel zipper, Strong oustside Nylon Case, CD's do not come out of the pocket, Each sleeve is secure and I feel confident they're not going to rip.
Con: The only thing I don't like about this is how hard it is to insert new sleeves. It's not like a three ring binder where you can insert sleeves where ever you please. If you want to insert one in the back of the book, you have to remove all the other ones.

Anyway, buy this DVD/CD? Wallet.. you won't be disappointed.

Customer Review: CD Wallet
Summary: 5 Stars

I use this CD holder for work purposes. I'm employed as a state official court reporter and we are required to retain the digital recordings of all criminal court proceedings. We are not allowed to use any method other than compact disks to maintain these records. It has been a problem for the reporters through the state. I discovered this one day and thought it might serve the purpose. It worked BEAUTIFULLY! There is room for an entire year's worth of proceedings and they are readily at my fingertips. Fantastic. Sturdy materials, tight stitching. The handle is very firmly attached so I don't have to worry about whether it will break while I'm carrying that year's worth of disks. I'm very pleased with this product.

Customer Review: Ordered 2, then returned for 2 larger capacity @ same price.
Summary: 4 Stars

Satisfied! .. I didn't use these cases once I received them because I noticed that amazon had the case logic 336-disc case for the same price!

I returned these two and bought the larger cases. (it was worth the $7 and some change they deducted from my credit to get the new larger cases. (both orders qualified for free shipping).

Durability has been questionable by some reviewers. I have a lot of discs that I will store here and not access frequently so i'm confident that these will last a long long time. The only complaint i have is the zipper.. it seems like it's a little too long, so it's sometimes tricky to get started, zipping or unzipping, it folds over itself and requires two hands.

Customer Review: Basic and reliable
Summary: 5 Stars

For dealing with massive quantities of archived optical media there is simply no better solution than a CD wallet. Another reviewer expressed remorse at buying this product because dirt had gotten into the slots and ground scratches into the media. I could see that happening, but I've never experienced it. Just make it a point to store media wallets upright on a shelf, off the dusty floor, away from the window and radiator/heater, and it should work fine. I prefer this model and brand of wallet because of its woven nylon exterior. Some models use faux-leather, which is really a nasty soft plastic that etches any other plastic it's in contact with for a period of time.
