Customer Review: Not much padding but the price isn't bad

NOTE: If you don't mind which color you get (brown or black) you may find one color MUCH cheaper than the other one. When I got my case, the brown case was less than two dollars. Now it's too high. The black one is the least expensive now - it seems to vary from day to day.
Now on to my review:
If you are looking for a well-padded camera case, this isn't it. I feel very little padding on the front and back, maybe 1/8" thick, if that much. No padding on the sides at all, that part of the case is elastic. But I knew this when I ordered it, I just wanted a case to keep my camera in while it's sitting on the table, or if I happen to toss it into my purse (gently) - this case will be fine for my needs.
This will protect your camera and the LCD screen from scratches. If you are looking for a convenient way to carry (on your belt loop) with easy access, this case should fit the bill.
The front and back are mostly leather, except for a portion of the front/side which is a nylon material - the belt loop is also nylon. I can tell it's genuine leather by the smell. The insides are some type of polyester. The belt loop isn't wide so I don't think this will accommodate any belt more than 1" wide.
I own several Case Logic bags and they seem to last forever (this has a 25 year warranty, too).
I purchased this for my Panasonic FH1 camera, it fits - barely. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH1 12.1 MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Silver). Sometimes the magnetic closure comes loose from being tossed around inside my purse, but the camera, so far, has not come out.
The sides of this case are stretchy elastic, not leather, so if your camera is slightly larger in width than the measurements listed here, this case should work for you.
Just don't expect any padding or storage area for SD cards, and you won't be disappointed.
